East Havers is a single-storey barn conversion near Alnwick in Northumberland. The sage-green windows and doors give it a distinctive exterior and inside you'll find pretty wooden roof beams, a beautiful arched full-length window and a glass door opening onto an enclosed courtyard. It's a well-finished property that feels genuinely comfortable rather than just functional.
The location works well for exploring Northumberland. Alnwick is five minutes by car. The M&S Food Hall is about a mile away and the Hogs Head Inn is within walking distance. The coast is a short drive and Hulne Park is close for riverside walks.

The cottage sleeps three across two bedrooms a king-size room with its own TV and a single bedroom. There's one bathroom with a bath, shower over bath and heated towel rail. The lounge has a Samsung 50" Smart 4K TV and Blu-ray player. The kitchen is fully equipped with an air fryer, slow cooker, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine. No hot tub.
Alnwick Castle is under 10 minutes away (4 miles). Warkworth Castle is roughly 20 minutes south. Bamburgh Castle is 15 miles north (around 25 minutes). Farne Islands boat trips depart from Seahouses, about 18 miles away (30 minutes).
East Havers suits couples or a small family of three with dogs two well-behaved dogs are welcome. The enclosed garden is secure and private and guests consistently rate the welcome pack and on-site neighbour Chris as highlights. Fuel, power, linen and towels are all included.
