This two-storey property sleeps five and strikes a genuine balance between period character and modern comfort. Sash windows, inglenook fireplaces and a reclaimed staircase sit alongside a Smart TV and a Nespresso machine. The wood burner in the lounge inglenook is a real highlight one guest reported the house was toasty warm even during a cold snap and snow.
Alnwick is a proper market town. Shops, pubs and restaurants are a few minutes' walk away including an acclaimed treehouse restaurant. Barter Books one of the UK's largest secondhand bookshops is right in town.

Alnmouth beach is 4.5 miles away. Craster, famous for its smoked kippers, is 7 miles. Bamburgh Castle (16 miles, 25 mins) and the Farne Islands boat trips from Seahouses (14 miles, 22 mins) are excellent days out.
