Pottergate Tower is a Grade II listed historic tower sitting right in the centre of Alnwick, Northumberland. This is genuinely one-of-a-kind accommodation a medieval tower converted for two guests, with the interior arranged across multiple levels connected by a narrow spiral stone staircase. Alnwick Castle is visible from the east window, especially striking at dawn or when lit at night.

Alnwick is a proper market town. Cobbled streets, independent shops, pubs and restaurants are all within a short walk. The Northumberland coast is within easy reach Alnmouth, Bamburgh and Holy Island are all close by.

Sleeping two guests, the tower has one bedroom with a super-king zip-and-link bed on the second mezzanine level. The first floor holds an open-plan kitchen/diner with island and dining table. Above that, a mezzanine with a cushioned window seat overlooks the town and castle. The second floor has a comfortable lounge with Smart TV and a shower room.

Alnwick Castle (0.3 miles), Alnwick Garden (0.5 miles), Warkworth Castle (7 miles/15 mins) and Bamburgh Castle (14 miles/25 mins) are all excellent days out.

Pottergate Tower suits couples who want something genuinely different. Castle views, a central town location and real historic character make this a memorable stay. No hot tub but the setting more than compensates.
