It sleeps two guests in one bedroom with a double bed and it's immaculately presented with plenty of thought put into the furnishings. The name is a nod to the Harry Potter connection at nearby Alnwick Castle, which was used as a filming location for Hogwarts.
Alnwick itself is a historic market town with a cinema, restaurants, independent shops and a good choice of pubs. The property sits within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the heather-capped Cheviot Hills to the west and 20 miles of Heritage Coastline to the east.

Alnmouth train station is four miles away for trips further afield.The whole cottage is on the ground floor, with a living room featuring a Freeview TV, DVD and CD player, electric fire and patio doors to the garden. The kitchen-diner has an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The shower room has a cubicle shower and toilet.
Alnwick Castle is a short drive away and remains a working home for the Duke of Northumberland. Alnwick Gardens, also within a very short drive, has a grand cascade waterfall, poison garden and a restaurant in the largest treehouse in Europe. The beach is four miles off and a shop and restaurant are just 300 yards from the door. Guests can also visit the owners' craft studio, where they work with Angelina Fibres and merino wool and book a mini workshop to make and take home their own glass-encased creation.
This is a fitting base for couples wanting to explore Northumberland's coast and castles at a relaxed pace.
