Edinburgh is about an hour by train from nearby Alnmouth station.The living/dining room is spacious and looks straight onto the castle walls, with a 43-inch Smart TV, DVD and CD player. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped, overlooking the garden, with an electric oven, hob, microwave and slow cooker. The kingsize bedroom has real character, with an Inglenook-style fireplace and French doors opening to the courtyard and garden. There's one shower room with a cubicle shower.
Alnwick's shops, pub and restaurants are just 50 yards away. The Pastures park run starts a 5-minute stroll from the door. Alnwick bus station is a short walk, giving car-free access to the coast and villages. The walled courtyard, with patio table, four chairs and a parasol, is a sheltered south/west-facing spot for morning coffee or al fresco meals.
