The cottage is a Grade II-listed former gardener's cottage tucked into a quiet part of historic Alnwick in Northumberland. It once housed the gardener who tended Alnwick Castle's grounds and that history still shows in its Georgian-style sash window, stripped wooden floor and feature fireplace.
